Stampin' Up! Classes in Melbourne - Outer East, Bayside, South East, Peninsula and Melbourne West.

Today I want to introduce you to some of the amazing talented stampers in my Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team. These six girls are just a tiny sample of our lovely team, but I am highlighting their creativity because they all run in-person stamping  technique and project classes in Melbourne on a regular basis. If you are looking for some great classes to learn some new skills and to have some fun creating with like minded people, you might find something in their class schedule that takes your fancy.

First up is Christine Blain. Christine runs classes in Mount Evelyn which is close to Lilydale, Montrose, Kilsyth, Coldstream and other outer east Melbourne suburbs. You can read more about Christine and check out her class schedule on her blog. Here's a sample of Christine's lovely creations.

I love this bright happy card Nikki recently made from our Saleabration paper. You can see Nikki's other creations and her class schedule on her blog.

Next up we have Sue Madex. Sue runs her classes in Avondale Heights on the Western side of Melbourne close to Essendon, Keilor, Moonee Ponds and Niddrie. I received the following card from Sue in a team card swap recently and WOW, to see it in real life with all it's shimmery embossed background and porcelain like butterfly is amazing! Check out Sue's other cards and her class schedule on her blog.

Ros Davidson is another talented stamper in my team and she runs her classes in the south east Melbourne suburb of Skye which is close to Carrum Downs, Franston, Langwarrin and Cranbourne. Ros runs technique and project classes, and I particularly loved this bright and happy 'Monster High' punch art card Ros recently created. You can see more of Ros's creations and her class schedule on her blog.

If you live on the Mornington Peninsula, you will be near Kristine Giampetrio who runs classes in Tootgarook which is near Rye, Rosebud, Sorrento, Blairgowrie and Dromana. I loved this gorgeous card Kristine recently created for an online challenge. The combination of the white embossing and colouring on Crumb Cake is really striking. You can check out Kristine's other creations and her class schedule on her blog.

From My Heart Thank you Card .....

Hello friends. I guess by now you have realised I am totally LOVING Summer Starfruit, one of Stampin' Up!'s 2012/13 In-Colours. It looks fabulous on bold colours, but also in a 'fresh vintage' style like today's card. I have used From My Heart stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

From My Heart Stampin Up

My colours are Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, Early Espresso and a touch of crumb cake spritzed on the Very Vanilla. I achieved the two tone effect on the stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers. This design is a great way to use up the nagative sections when you cut out one of the Labels Framelits.

Other products used on this card inclue:

  • Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Antique Brads
  • Some scraps of Sycamore St DSP (the Saleabration one)
  • Adhesive pearls
  • Vintage trinkets

Stamping Tip: Use the stampin' spritzer to add a touch of colour to whisper white or very vanilla cardstock if it is too bright for a vintage style card. I have used Crumb Cake here, but Sahara Sand or even some of the subtles colours work well too.

I hope you enjoy today's card. See you back here soon,

Claire

A happy card, using Stampin' Up! Sycamore St DSP and Bloomin Marvellous stamp set ...

Another challenge card today, this time this weeks Mojo Monday sketch which I really liked. It was perfect for some crisp clean lines and bright colours in the Saleabration Sycamore St DSP. The stamp comes from Bloomin Marvellous which is another of the Saleabration choices. I just love this happy greeting!

I've just received a new batch of seasonal catalogues to mail out, so please let me know if you would like me to pop one in the mail for you.

Have a great week,

Claire

Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking with Tea for Two DSP and Artisan Embellishment Pack

I haven't played in challenges for ages, but decided to have a go at a couple ths week to get the mojo flowing a little. The first one I have tackled in Just Add Ink Scrapbook Challenge #14, where we hadto use lace and ephemera. We all know I love a bit of lace, so here is what I came up with.

stampin up scrapbooking tea for two dsp

This is me and my beautiful family, embellished with the lovely Tea for Two Designer Series Paper and lots of lace and other goodies from the Artisan Embellishment Pack. I even included the two cards the lace was wound around. I distressed this, and also soaked the heart doiley in coffee to age it a bit (be careful when you do this as it is very delicate!). The quote is from the Feel Goods set in the new Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue.

To add something meaningful to the page, I actually made the flowers from an old keepsake. My boys are IVF babies and last night while I was searching for some old x-rays, I came across lots of things I had kept from IVF days. These flowers were made from a brochure they gave us about coping with the emotional roller-coaster of IVF. It was a photocopied brochure and again I soaked it in coffee to age the paper.

Thanks for a great scrapbook challenge JAI!

Back soon with another creation,

Claire
