Claire's September Festival of Getting Inky Day 9: Coordinations Cardstock

Hello there :)

Today I have a card featuring the lovely new Textured Impressions Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the Coordinations cardstock, a new product you will find in the Stampin' Up! Holiday seasonal catalogue. It makes a great tree trunk don't you think?

I have used the 1 3/8 Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, Curly Label Punch and Owl Builder Punch on this card. The tree was cut freehand, and leaves using the Little Leaves Sizzlet. The greeting is from Fabulous Phrases stamp set.

Here's a few tips for when you are using the Coordinations cardstock:

  • I found it best not to emboss TOO hard, so depending on the tension on your Big Shot, you may like to remove another tab on the base plate when putting it through.
  • Just lightly sand the embossed side of the image to reveal the pattern. You can always sand more if needed, but I found the new Sanding system with removable sand paper (on page 6 of the holiday catalogue) worked so well that you only needed a light sand.
  • You need to remove any sanding dust to allow adhesives to stick well. The dust buddy on page 6 does the trick :) This comes in a very large piece, so just cut a small amount off to use at a tme. It will last a long time.

Hope you are enjoying Septembers stamping inspiration. I sure am enjoying bringing it to you!
