Daydream Medallions Sneak Peek and Update to the Retired List ....
The New 2012/13 Stampin' Up Annual and Holiday Catalogue sales for Australia have commenced!

Having a play with the new to Australia Stampin' Up! digital content CDs....

I was very excited when the lovely Pam Morgan mentioned at Convention that we would be getting the digital CDs in Australia's 2012 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. I have been delving a little into digital scrapbooking over the last year and even though I have lots still to learn, I was excited I will soon get to play with lovely Stampin' Up! digital images.

It should be noted that this is not the same as My Digital Studio (known as MDS or MDS 2). That hasn't hit Australia yet and won't for a little while. These discs contain digital Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers, embellishments and brushes (brushes are the digital equivalent of stamps).

I have only had a little play so far using the Days to Remember disc which will be a hostess item in the new catalogue. Here is the result of this play, a quick page of my two gorgeous boys. This was one of those in the moment happy iPhone snaps when we were having lunch at a cafe down at the beach house on the July school holidays.

Because we don't have MDS yet, to use the digital content on these discs, you need a computer software program such as Photoshop Elements or Photoshop to work with the files. I have used Photoshop here. You use the content on the CD that is included in the folder named 'Zipped for use in other applications'. Using Winzip (if you are on a Microsoft Windows operating system like I am) you extract the files and then they are ready to use. Then it's just a matter of learning to work with layers and manipulate the various elements. There are lots of online tutorials available. I will definitely be getting some more of the discs from my favourite product suites in the new catalogue.

If you are keen to get into digital scrapbooking with Stampin' Up!, I'd be happy to offer you some one on one instruction with a qualifying purchase, Just contact me and we can set something up. I hope to bring you lots mroe digital pages (and traditional paper pages too) over the coming months. I have missed my scrapbooking!

Have a great day and see you back here soon,
