Stampin' Up! Love and Laughter Wedding Cards .....

This weekend I have been creating some handmade wedding cards. I don't have a wedding to go to until later in the year, but I wanted to play with the Love and Laughter stamp set and matching Wedding Words jumbo wheel from the Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue.

I went for a subtle colour combination of Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray, Whisper White and silver embossing. I tried to make these clean and simple, with a little bling! For this one I have used Dazzling Diamonds on the Heart and Irridescent Ice embossing powder on the wheeled area to create some sparkle. I love how perfectly the Pink Pirouette ribbon matches my wheeled cardstock. My favourite reason for creating with Stampin' Up! products.

For this one I have just clear embossed the wheeled image with clear embossing powder for a different subtle look. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch gives a nice subtle border here too. Perfect for elegant wedding cards.

Some stamping tips when recreating these cards:

  • The embossing buddy is a must! Rub it over your cardstock before wheeling to make sure the embossing powder goes exactly where you want it to.
  • Irridescent Ice gives a subtle glitter embossed finish without needing to use Heat and Stick Powder.
  • The BigShot Multipuporse adhesive sheets are perfect for adding Dazzling Diamonds to punched or die cut shapes. It gives a really uniform coating which I love.
