It's a Stampin' Up! Paper Party Blog Hop! Earn FREE Stampin' Up! paper packs this month .....
May 01, 2012
Much excitement happening today. We have a fabulous new Stampin' Up! special 'Paper Party' where you can earn Designer Series Paper in two ways:
Option 1: Get a free pack of Designer Series Paper (and we're talking 12 sheets of 12x12 double sided paper which is fully colour coordinated with the Stampin' Up! colour range so we can tell you exactly what inks, cardstock and ribbons coordinate perfectly) when you buy 3 packs (so buy 3, bet 1 free - a saving of 25%); or
Option 2: Join Stampin' Up! with the new $169 fully customised kit (you choose EXACTLY what you want in your kit) and you will get free Designer Series paper each month for the rest of the year! WOW!
Designer Series Paper is my favourite Stampin' Up! product to play with, and as a scrapbooker before I joined Stampin' Up!, I couldn't believe how easy it was complete a page using the colour coordination Stampin' Up! has to offer. To show you how easy this is, today we have the Art With Heart Team blog hop, where we will show you many ways to use our patterned papers, particularly in scrapbooking.
You may be starting the blog here, or coming to me from the lovely Deborah Raymers blog. Either way I have listed the names of the girls at the bottom of the post who are participating in the blog hop. Any of these ladies including myself will be able to help you with this months specials and talk to you about joining our fantastic team.
The paper I chose to play with for the blog hop, is Beau Chateau. This is a gorgeous set of paper, but was a little hard to scan true to colour so I have also taken some close up pics below! You can click on the layout for a closer view.
This picture is so precious to me, the day Josh met Sam when he was born. I love the softness of these colours for baby photos, a Very Vanilla base with Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Pink Pirouette. It also has an old world feel which I love. I have used 5 separate sheets of the 12 pack DSP on this page, and of course they coordinate perfectly because coordination is what Stampin' Up! do so well. I could even coordinate my stamp set to match the paper!
I printed my quote ("Life isn't measured by the breaths we take but the moments that take our breath away") onto the DSP and highlighted that with a stamp and pearl above and below. I have also used some of our punches (love this Two Step Bird punch with this paper!) and pearls and antique brads for embellishment.
Next stop on the blog hop is the lovely Tina Gillespie. If you get stuck anywhere along the way, here are a list of the Art with Heart team girls who are participating in the blog hop today. I have included where they are located as you might be interested in getting in contact them for a class timetable if you are close by :)

a stunning page Claire, your pages are always inspiring! Love the punched flower and I have never thought to print directly onto DSP before - will have to give it a go.

What a lovely and very special photo and your page matches it so well, always enjoy your creations which are so different to my style wish I could be inspired more naturally into the vintage look.

Gorgeous photo Claire - even the teddy makes an appearance. Our DSP is versatile isn't it - printing on it, punching it out - I love how everything coordinates effortlessly ... love the little bird tucked up in the corner there.
