I couldn't resist The Open Sea .....

I told myself I didn't need it, but in the end I just saw too many awesome cards using the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini set The Open Sea, so it's the latest addition to my stamp shelves. So glad I did! It's a great set for male cards especially and I love the combo of colours in the matching DSP - Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso.

Vintage crumb cake ....

Goodness me, has it really been 2 weeks since I posted? Sorry - not sure what happened there! Settling back into the school term routine I think :)

Today I have a 'Friends' card for you, as one of our lovely school Mum's and one of Sam's class mates are moving schools. We know we will see lots of her socially, but our group of friends still wanted to mark the occasion with a card and a gift.

There's a mix of Stampin' Up!  IBC and Summer Mini Catalogue items on this one, with the main image from the You are Loved stamp set in the Summer Mini. I am really loving Calypso Coral at the moment!

Have a couple more photographed and ready to upload in the next couple of days. Until then, be happy.

My last Pretty Postage card for this week ...

I made this card during the week to send to my Mum with some pictures of what the boys have been up to in January. It should arrive tomorrow so hope she likes it. This is the third card I have made this week with Pretty Postage, I just love this set and matching punch from the summer mini catalogue.

My colours are Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery and Blush Blossom. I have also used the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I rubbed the Perfect Plum ink pad over the top so that it defined the embossing a little more.

Would you like to learn some new stamping techniques and meet some new crafty friends? Come to a Stampin' up! class!

I am starting day and evening classes at my house once a month (to start with). Classes are suitable for beginner through to those with some experience. First class is a free introductory class. For all the details, head over to my class page.

I would love to see you there and have you stamp with me. Numbers are strictly limited to allow me time to interact with each person and help them if needed.

Have a happy day,

Claire

Stampin' Up! Pretty Postage ....

Hello.  I have a card for you today. A quick and easy card using Pretty Postage and the matching Postage Stamp Punch from the Australian Stampin' Up! Summer Mini, and a jumbo wheel (this one is Friendly Words from the 2011/12 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue. My colours are Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry.

Stampin Up Pretty Postage

To make this card, I rolled the Friendly Words wheel onto Marina Mist cardstock using Marina Mist ink. I also rolled it in the bottom third of the front of a Lucky Limeade top folding card in Lucky Limeade ink. I cut four postage stamp squares into the Marina Mist and adhered them onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry.

The main image from Pretty Postage was coloured using the Marina Mist and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Marker. It was cut out with our new Stampin' Up! 1" square punch and adhered onto a postage stamp punched piece of Rich Razzleberry.

Hope this inspires you to make and send a card,

Claire
