She Scrapbooked!
February 05, 2011
Hello lovelies. I have some scrapbooking to share with you today. Some simple pages recording everyday moments and memories in the Daly house.
One of the things I am hoping to do each month this year is a double page collage with journalling for each month which records what we have been up to each month. I am doing these on kraft (woops Crumb Cake) with some black on white journalling and one other colour for the title and the border. This should allow some uniformity in the look of the album when it all comes together. I try to think about these things when I am doing an album. Here is January's page. I have used the Stampin' Up! Circle Circus stamping in Versamark ont the kraft to help the eye flow through the photos.
Here's another page I did last Sunday. Just a simple everyday page about what we were all doing on a normal Sunday at our house. I want to try and record more of these everyday moments this year. I have tried to keep it simple with just Crumb Cake and other cardstock (So Saffron and Real Red) to blend in with the Stampin' Up! Playdate DSP.
I've been working on my Ali Edwards One Little Word album too, finding this so enjoyable! I will post some random pages here and there when I get to the scanner again. I have found the process really uplifting so far. It's reminded me to not to forget to nourish myself as well as others and I find I am often asking myself the question 'is this nourishing for me?'. This is helping me to focus on my goals and directions and balance that with the needs of others. That's a good thing I think. I've experience many nourishing things this last month - the unbelievably yummy smoked salmon sushi hand rolls at Leo's, playing at the beach with my family, starting to meditate again (today I bought myself a lovely relaxation aromatherapy candle to burn while I meditate), starting consulting clients again in my nutrition business (nourishing for my brain and spirit and hopefully nourishing for my clients too), nourishing Sam in his transition to school and many many more. I am loving this journey.
Just a few more pictures (thanks Sue!) to get printed and my Hamilton Island album will be finished and ready to share too. Thank goodness the damage from Cyclone Yasi to the island was only minor. Not so some other beautiful parts of Queensland. I am thinking of you all and of those affected by this flooding we are seeing in many states.
You will notice in the pictures above that we have another puppy, another white German Shepherd called Oscar. he is very cute and cheeky and we all love him to bits! He's 10 weeks old now. Here's another picture of him.
Off to do another scrapbook page now - might step this one up a bit and get a bit carried away. I Need a page like that every now and again!
Hope you are happy and safe and dry wherever you are,
Claire xx
Hi Claire! That is such a cute puppy! I'm glad to hear you've had a great start to the year. Your layouts are lovely, as usual. Can't wait to see more.
