Update and an observation ....

I'm really missing blogging. Much more than I thought I would! I'm thinking through some ways at my own pace to get back to basics and have room for the 'just because' sharing again. I miss just putting my thoughts 'out there', sharing my 'just because creations' and I miss participating in the challenges. Watch this space OK?

We started Josh's therapy this week. The first session went really well. He was really engaged with his therapist, had heaps of fun and I felt so relieved we are FINALLY moving forward. I've been baking and shopping and reading and gardening. My garden is going to be a burst of colour in spring with bulbs and annuals!

Be back again :) In the meantime I am just off now to add some more pictures to my Autumn Winter Mini Gallery.

Time for a well earned blog break ....

You might need a cuppa for this one! I think I will be rambling, but here goes.

I've decided it's time I had a well earned break from my regular blog posts and my monthly blog newsletters. I've tried to do this in the past but haven't quite been ready. I felt I would be letting people down if that makes sense? Today though I woke up and just knew I was ready, so this will be my last blog post until I'm not really sure when. I've removed my newsletter sign up box and will be sending out a message to those subscribers later tonight. The blog will stay here though, as there is lots of useful content that I hope might be useful if it's stumbled upon.

While I intend to remain a demonstrator, I have lots of other directions and challenges this year and that's where my heart wants to go. I want to free up a little time to balance Stampin' Up! with my family needs a bit better. Josh starts his therapy in a few weeks, Sam is getting excited about school next year and I want to enjoy this last year at home with him. My husband also needs a few more home-cooked meals and I'm very gradually working on the foundations of rebuilding my private Dietitian practice which I always intended going back to part time in 2011 when Sam starts school. I specialise in helping women who have PCOS, and also women who are trying to get pregnant, busy working women and women trying to balance the nutrition needs of all the family. That's incredibly rewarding work and I really miss it. Most of all I just want to 'be' for a while, read on the couch, do some cooking and gardening. Goodness me I might even get some housework done! I know so many of you with busy working lives of any type will understand.

I LOVE Stampin' Up! and the flexibility to do this is just another reason why. I have been unbelievably rewarded over the last 3 years, including a trip to Palm Cove, Noosa and another to Hamilton Island to look forward to. That pales in comparison to the friendships I have made and I look forward to being able make and send lots of cards just because.I will be my own best customer for my own cards and scrapbooking! I do intend to remain a demonstrator and support my fabulous team and continue to enjoy the fun and friendships in our online forum (I'd be lost without my team forum to check into every day to say hello to everyone!). I'll also continue totake orders by phone and email (including from new customers) and stay in touch with my regular customers by email, and hopefully can assist you to keep on building your stamping stash!

If you are interested in a hands on workshops or classes, I'd recommend you get in contact with some of my lovely downlines who would be happy to don these for you. You can view a full list in my left hand column. I know these girls are definitely offering classes and workshops in the coming months:

Finally if you are into Scrapbooking, I want to give a huge plug to the girls at Stampamemory. There are some amazing scrapbook pages up there, led by the very talented Tanja Westwood. You must check out their site and challenges! The new banner is sensational Tanja.

Thanks so much,

Claire xx

ETA on 7th April: Thanks for the beautiful messages of support and emails I have received. I have really appreciated them. I wasn't quite sure the best way to handle the questions I was getting about whether the blog was staying up (yes), and if  I was still going to take orders, able to have new downlines join our team, or even if I was still going to be a demonstrator (yes to all 3!!) so in the end I put up a featured post which I hope will answer those questions and for anyone who is new to the blog. Now I'm really having a blog break, OK!

Stampin Up Australia Sizzix Big Shot

You'll just love this awesomely versatile die cutting machine that cuts through over 50 different materials. It's a universal die cutting machine, which means it can cut dies from other manual die cutting systems, but you are already spoilt for choice with the fabulous selection of dies, including the exclusive Stampin' Up! range. I'm really looking forward to bringing you lots of exciting new projects featuring die cutting over the coming months.

If you'd like a demonstration of the Big Shot and a play, make sure you register for my new catalogue launch (details of launch at bottom of this post).

A Choice of Cling or Wood Mounted Rubber Stamps

How exciting - you can now have the choice of cling rubber in many of our new stamp designs!

Stampin Up Australia Clear mount stamps picture

This is exactly the same rubber used on the wood mounted stamps (so the same awesome image quality) but it's mounted to cling foam to enable it to be used with clear acrylic blocks. This assists in stamp positioning, and is also great for storage as each set comes in it's own labeled DVD holder. We are also now stocking great quality acrylic blocks with smooth grooved sides, for that same wood block feel. You'll get to play with this option at my mini catalogue launches (details at bend of post) and see how you like it. Please note this doesn't mean we are getting rid of our wood mounted stamps - just adding another great option for you.

Here's another picture, showing you how the optional label (yes this clings to the acrylic block!) assists in stamp positioning.
