Claire's Stampin' Up! 12 days of Christmas Day 9 - Season of Joy

(Let's just pretend it's two days ago OK?)

Today's Christmas card is an old favourite and even a design I have made before, but in different colours. Who doesn't love this stamp from Season of Joy though? It's so easy to do things to to jazz it up a bit.

Season of Joy

This time I inked the stamp up in Baja Breeze ink, and then coloured over the top with my markers (so long as you are colouring over the top of a lighter colour there won't be any contamination. I have used my Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to add some colour and then I have added Christal Effects to the Old Olive sections. I have also placed real red brads through the top 3 green flowers, and punched out a red snowflake to layer in the word 'joy' with a rhinestone brad on it (I cut the prongs off with scissors and attached with a glue dot as I needed it flatter in this case). So here's a full run down of what I have used:

  • Stamps: Season of Joy
  • Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip (for sponging edges), Riding Hood Red
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip
  • Paper: Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (only available until November 30th)
  • Other: Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, 1/2" circle punch, Real Red brads (in the Bold Brights), Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads, Crystal Effects, Eyelet Border punch, Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon.

I hope you enjoy todays card. I'll be back tomorrow (and I mean it this time!) with day 10!

Claire's Stampin' Up! 12 Day's of Christmas Day 8

Hello friends! I hope you are having a happy start to the week and are feeling creative and rested. It's been a lovely sunny (actually quite warm) day here in Melbourne. Summer is on the way.

Before I get into today's card, I wanted to tell you some exciting news! Shelli (CEO of Stampin' Up! at www.soshelli.com) chose my Blueberry and the Wishing Star page as one of the winners in last month's So Shelli Creative Challenge! How exciting! I get to choose a free stamp set, but I think the most exciting thing for me is that Shelli visited my blog and read that precious page. I would encourage you all to have a go at the challenges. They are so much fun and I am always so inspired by the creations people submit. Have a go!

Today's card features the fabulous Stampin' Up! Christmas set A Wish For Peace. This is a lovely traditional set and I really enjoy creating with it. The colours I have chosen for this card are Baja Breeze, Kraft, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip.

Wish for peace Kraft

I have coloured the image using the Stampin' Write Markers. I used Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Always Artichoke and used my Aquapainter to add a bit of solid colour to the church. The sky was sponged on using Baja Breeze ink pad. For the background I have clear embossed the swirl from Baroque Motifs and the centre of the Build a Brad has been punched from the floral pattern in the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper. Here's a full run down of the Stampin' Up! products I have used:

  • Stamps: A Wish for Peace, Baroque Motifs
  • Ink: Versamark, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip (for spongeing edges)
  • Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
  • Paper: Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper
  • Other: Build a Brads,1/2" circle punch, scalloped edge punch, Baja Breeze striped grosgrain ribbon, paper piercer, Stampin' Write Markers, Embossing Buddy, clear embossing powder

Today I am showing you the second card I have made with the Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics set. Another really quick and easy card that would be easy to whip up a bunch of cards if you needed. For this one I have used the Stampin Write Markers for a multicoloured main image. The colours I have used are Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Real Red.

Christmas Classics red

Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics - Day 6 of Claire's 12 days of Christmas

I had the pleasure of borrowing this stamp set from my lovely friend Christine on Thursday night. It's not one that immediately took my fancy, but then i started seeing all the lovely things everyone has done with it and now I NEED it!

Today's card is very simple and could easily be mass produced to catch up on a bunch of Christmas cards. Some gold embossing, a bit of patterned paper and an embossed background. Super quick don't you think?

Christmas Classics Kraft

Here's a run down of the Stampin' Up! products I have used on the card:

  • Stamps: Christmas Classics, Occasional Greetings
  • Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla, Kraft
  • Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip (sponged on edges)
  • Paper: Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! Claire's 12 Days of Christmas Day 5

Today we have a bright and happy Christmas card in one of my favourite colour Christmas colour combinations, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red and Chocolate Chip. These colours (as well as Old Olive) go really nicely with the colours in the I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit.

I wish tree

The tree has been embossed in white embossing paper, and the centre of the Build a Brad came from one of the cardstock stickers in the I Wish Kit. I am LOVING this kit for making quick coordinated Christmas cards. Here's a run down on the Stampin' Up! products I have used today:

  • Stamps: Snow Swirled and Many Merry Messages
  • Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip
  • Cardstock: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss
  • Other: I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit, Vintage and Bold Brights brads, Build a Brad, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Embossing Buddy

I hope you like todays card. Have a nice weekend and I'll see you back here tomorrow for day 6!
