WOW. Stampin’ Up! have just announced THE BIGGEST special they have ever had for joining up as a demonstrator.

Join up with the fabulous Scrapbooking Promotion Starter Kit (still great for cardmakers too) for just $150 during May! Here's all the promotion Information:  Download May Recruit Special

How awesome is that? You can join as a hobby demonstrator to just get the demonstrator discounts and benefits, or I can work with you to build a great business to bring extra income into your family while you work from home at your own pace. It’s such an awesome company to be a part of and I can’t see them repeating this great offer any time soon. Email meASAP if you are interested in getting an obligation free recruiting pack.

I will be taking some packs to Canberra with me too (I'm there for Convention Thursday to Sunday), so call and leave a message on my mobile if you want one while I am away (and stay tuned here for convention updates).

As a successful Australian demonstrator who has reached the Incentive Trip each year I have been with Stampin’ Up! I can welcome you into our fun and friendly team. We have our very own  team forum where you can chat and ask questions and participate in shares, swaps and challenges and get to know our lovely team members. You will also have me as your personal mentor, to help you get whatever YOU choose from Stampin’ Up! All my team members also have access to all my stamping, cardmaking and scrapbooking tutorials and kits FOR FREE. I have experience in both card making AND scrapbooking, having been published in Creating Keepsakes, For Keeps, Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbooking Memories.

I’d love to have you in my team. If you like, I can also email you the Recruit brochure. It’s a 1 MB file so a large download if you don’t have broadband. Just email me backif you would like that.

There's also another special as part of the promotion:

She let her stamping do the talking .....

Hello my lovely friends :) Thanks so much for your TLC over the last week while we had a little break in proceedings. I have been so moved by the beautiful gifts and cards, phone calls and emails. I truly do have so many fabulous demonstrator friends and customers and I am grateful to you all. Isn't it funny how when people with their own self esteem and confidence issues attack you, in the end what it really does is just remind you how loved and supported you are. So here I am. Stamping and being me just for those people. There is no room on this blog for anything but happiness, encouragement, inspiration and sharing. Come on - it's not called Art with Heart for nothing you know!

Last Sunday, my fabulous team had a picnic with our families at Jells Park. It was organised by one of our lovely team members Kathryn Lowe (mwah Kathryn). It was such a beautiful sunny day and we spent it relaxing and chatting and we even got in a card swap! Here is my card front that I swapped (I added the Pretties and base card later).

Eastern Influence

This set is called Eastern Influences. Isn't it gorgeous? Here's the recipe:

  • Stamps: Eastern Influences, Fresh Cuts (greeting), Baroque Motifs (background layer) and En Francais (masked over the image)
  • Cardstock and Paper: Pink Pirouette, Watercolour Paper, Riding Hood Red, Urban Garden DSP
  • Accessories: Watercolour Crayons (Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke), Pink Pirouette striped grosgrain ribbon, Pretties Kit
  • Ink: Basic Grey, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red (watercolouring)

Hope you like it!

Grab the last spots

I have 3 spots left in another InColour striped grosgrain share. You get 2 metres of 6 colours for $21.50 including postage. First in first served!

I also have one last spot in my last round of Marker Clubs - if you want that one I need to know by Friday 6pm.

Thanks again for reminding me what life and fabulous friends are all about. I am really looking forward to convention and sharing all the fabulous inspiration with you!

A Rose is a Rose ....

Another gorgeous new set from Stampin' Up!, and another look at one of the new Stampin' Up! In Colours Riding Hood Red. I am really loving this colour at the moment.

RHR Rose

This card was actually very quick and easy to make! The bottom strip is Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, and the top bit is clear embossed roses which I have cut out and layered. The sentiment from Cheers and Wishes has been embossed in white.

Here's the recipe:

  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! A Rose is a Rose, Cheer and Wishes
  • Cardstock: Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Accessories: Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Clear embossing powder, white embossing powder, Kiwi Kiss ribbon

Using clear embossing is a great way to add a little dimension and tone on tone effect to your cards, It's super simple. All you need is a Versamark ink pad, clear embossing powder and a heat gun. I'd be happy to get you started with some ideas!

Had a lovely workshop with a group of stamping enthusiasts yesterday. this really is the loveliest job (if you can call it that), being invited into peoples homes to share a couple of hours of fun and stamping. Thanks Claire and friends for a lovely day (well maybe not the weather). Today was a less wild day with the weather. I took the boys down to Lilydale lake for some r and r. I took lots of photos (and so did Josh) so hopefully some of those will pop up on a scrapbook page soon. I have promised Josh just he and I will go back for the day tomorrow as he wants to try his hand at fishing! That could be interesting with just the two of us.

Hope you are enjoying your week too,

Claire xx

Le Jardin Botanique ......

Time for another sample with a new set from the new 2009/2010 Idea Book and Catalogue. I can see this set Le Jardin Botanique becoming one of my firm favourites. Isn't it lovely?

Le Jardin friends

I coloured the image using my markers, and then coloured using a sponge dauber. It was stamped onto watercolour paper which I had stamped (stamped off once) with the En Francais background stamp in Creamy Caramel. I have also used this background stamp on the base card which is Perfect Plum stamped off once with Perfect Plum Ink. The cute sentiment is from the Best Yet hostess set. You can't buy this set, but it can be yours with a $300 order from yourself or a group of friends, or at a workshop. It has 6 sentiments which are a great size to fit in the Scalloped Circle, Square or Curly Label punch bundle.

Do you see the brad too? This is our new 'Build a Brad' Embellishment. You receive a pack of 24 brad bases, and bubble tops in a cute little tin. You can then cut out pieces of patterned paper or stamped images (the 1/2" circle punch fits perfectly - this isn't included in the tin). Here's a pic of the embellishment tin and the punch, as well as a close up of the brad.

Build a brad 2

I hope you like this new set and the new Build a Brad embellishment pack, call me today and I'd be happy to come out and show you and some friends the great new catalogue products! Wouldn't it be great to get the 'Best Yet' set as a hostess gift? My number is 97352946 or you can email me.

Have a great Tuesday,

Thoughts and Prayers and Stampin' Write Markers ...

Another FABULOUS day in Melbourne. Unfortunately I woke with a really bad head/neck pain so missed the morning, but am up and about now thanks to the trusty ice packs!

I made this card yesterday using the brand new Thoughts and Prayers set. This was one of my top picks from the new catalogue as it's a great set for sympathy, get well and thinking of you cards. It has this lovely floral image, a tree image and 6 fabulous sentiments for the outside and inside of these types of cards.

Thinking of You markers

I have coloured the image using my Stampin' Write Markers (Old Olive, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red). I love having every colour in the markers because with the direct to marker technique it means I have all the ink colours at easy reach! Here's what else I have used:

  • Stamps: Bella Rose and En Francais
  • Ink: Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories: Stampin' Wite Markers, Button Bouquet Designer Buttons, Eyelet Border punch, Wide Oval punch
  • Cardstock & Paper: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP

I'm running my Marvellous Marker Club again this year. You can build up your collection of markers for $38 a month over 8 months, and one of the months you will be hostess and receive lots of freebies the awesome perspex carry case (to store and transport the markers vertically), the four neutral markers, a level one hostess set and $70 worth of free merchandise of your choice (at least!). This is a much better deal than buying the markers individually and you also get all the free stuff and the tutorials. I only have 4 places left in this club so if you are interested, either phone me on 03 97352946 or email me to put you name down.

I'm really loving bringing you all my new samples from the catalogue. I hope you find something that inspires you and makes you want to sit down and create and share this fabulous hobby with friends.

Be back tomorrow with another sample for you - I'm actually ahead of myself and have a few stored up now!
