Tanja is the team leader of the Compulsive Stampers and also a stay at home mother of two young children. She took up scrapbooking 5 years ago and is very happy to have been published a few times in both Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations this year. Scrapbooking plays a vital role in preserving Tanja's memories and thoughts and she enjoys it to the wee hours of the morning.
Tanja came across Stampin' Up! after attending her first scrapbooking retreat in October 2007 and was instantly intrigued that she could make money out of her passion and have so much fun doing it. Two weeks after attending her first Stampin' Up! workshop with Claire Daly, she signed up to be an Independent Demonstrator herself and hasn't looked back since, making so many great friends along the way.
We asked Tanja some questions about her scrapbooking and Stampin' Up!
Can you show us a favourite layout?
I have a great time sneaking around the house trying to capture the real moments in life and I just adore these photos. My children are often like cat and mouse, so to see them playing ever so beautifully is a moment to treasure. I love the bright and fun colours of the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper and Felt Flowers. It really ties in well with the happiness this layout gives me.
How would you describe your scrapbook space?
4 x 3 metre space in our open downstairs lounge room. It has kinda taken over the lounge a bit as I just LOVE to buy new products ... even just to look at! It's often messy but I know where everything is so that's the main pint, but I think I may need another Ikea shelf. I have made twenty three 12 x 12 albums these last 5 years and now with the stamps taking over ......
What's your fave Stampin' Up! colour combination for scrapbooking?
Oooooh hard one .... I would love Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White with a dash of Silver. But that would be if I had a black and white photo of course.
Fave thing to eat or drink when you are scrapbooking?
When I am being good, almonds but when I want to scrap all night, Red Bull and Chocolate!!
Who are your main scrapbook subjects?
My family, especially my two kids, Ashton and Jasmine and the hubby if he is being nice LOL
How would you describe your scrapbooking style?
Another hard one as I am also changing over the years, but at the moment I would say clean cut, detailed but still simple, with a touch of funk LOL
If I had an uninterrupted weekend of scrapbooking by myself this weekend I would work on ....
Wow ... definitely have loads of Red Bulls and work through the night with a few DVDs on for background noise and chip down the pile of never ending photos I keep taking. I would also like to make a start on a ME album as I have been contemplating it for a long time and would love to put it down on paper.
