Quick and simple cards with Big Plans Memories and More Card Pack

Want some quick and easy ideas for cards? Today's cards literally took me 15-20 minutes from start to finish for all 3 cards!

The Big Plans card pack was one of the things which really caught my eye at the Demonstrator launch of the 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue in Sydney in April. I think it was a combination of the colour combination and the cute design. Most people think these are just for pocket scrapbooking, but WOW do we have a surprise for you!

Our Memories and More packs have had a makeover, and with the cardstock weight stickers now included, they are as equally suited to card making as they are to memory keeping. I tend to mix it up and do both. This card kit also coordinates with our Big Plans Planner Kit. The colours are Calypso Coral, Gray Granite, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White.

Here's a closer look at the BIG PLANS Memories and More card pack. The four sheets in the upper right hand corner are cardstock weight stickers.

The other very cool thing, is that this year we have also introduced note cards and envelope packs in 2 sizes which are PERFECTLY sized to use with these cards (which makes them super quick and easy to create cards with). As you can see in the cards below, just add a card to the card base, and you have a perfect fit with a slight mat around the outside.

For this card, I have used one of the 6x4" cards for the first layer, and then cut 2 pieces from smaller cards for the other layers (the greeting was already printed on the card). Then I just added some rhinestone jewels and silver and white bakers twine (all the products I have used are available in my online store and are linked to at the end of my post). See how perfectly the cards fit the new Memories and More note cards and envelopes (this is the large pack).

For my second card, I have just used one 6x4" card onto one of the base cards, and used a greeting and washi stickers from the sticker sheets. All I needed to add was some rhinestone jewels.

For my final card, I have just used one of the 6x4" quote cards and added that to a base card. All I needed to finish this card was some of the cardstock weight stickers and rhinestone jewels.

You will definitely want to grab one of the new Memories and More packs and a pack of the coordinating note cards and envelopes for some super quick and easy card supplies to have on hand.

Stampin' Up! Hedgehugs. Quick and simple card ideas.

How super cute is this Hedgehugs stamp set? It's new in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Occasions Catalogue, and is available in wood or clear mount in my online store from January 3rd.

Stampin Up Hedgehugs cards from Occasions 2018. Claire Daly, Stampinup Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. #stampinup #hedgehugs, #clairedaly #ossasions2018

I thought this set was perfect for some quick and easy cards, so the cute images and greetings in the set can be the focus. I chose my colour scheme based on the beautiful Dahlia that is blooming in my garden right now.

Hedgehogs 5

I started with just a super basic card.

Stampin Up Hedgehugs cards from Occasions 2018. Claire Daly, Stampinup Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. #stampinup #hedgehugs, #clairedaly #ossasions2018

Here are the step by step instructions for this one:

  1. I stamped the hedgehogs close together, then die-cut with one of the Layering Oval Framelits.
  2. Next I stamped Flirty Flamingo flowers onto the Flirty Flamingo background.
  3. Then I stamped the greeting on a Very Vanilla scrap and cut out with the Classic Label Punch.
  4. I cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock 1.5" wide. and the width of the card. I then cut a banner shape at each end with the Triple Layer Banner Punch.
  5. The banner piece is attached with Snail, and the oval piece and greeting piece with Dimensionals.

I also decided to make two mini gift cards using the same colour combination. These are great to make, and very economical as you can get 4 from a piece of A4 cardstock. Just cut a piece of A4 cardstock in half horizontally, and then each of those pieces in half vertically. The finished size of the unfolded card is 21cm x 7.4-7.5cm (it's actually 7.425, but if you do 3 x 7,4 winde ones and 1 7.5cm wide one it makes life way easier!).

The Berry Burst pieces are 7cm wide x 9.8cm long. The Very Vanilla piece on the hedgehog card is 5.2cm wide x 7.4cm long. The Very Vanilla piece on the bird card is 4.8cm long x 4.0cm wide. I have also rounded 2 of the corners on these pieces.

Stampin' Up! Year of Cheer for the Art with Heart team last Heart of Christmas post for 2017 HOC #27

Hello. Well we did it, 27 weeks of Christmas inspiration in our very first Heart of Christmas series from the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team. Today is week 27, and our last post of the series.

Graphic

This week I am showcasing another super simple reproducible card, that still has some wow factor thanks to the embossing and foiled paper.

Stampin Up 2017 Christmas card using Year of Cheer DSP, Everyday Label Punch and Watercolor Christmas stamp se. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.t.

The base is Crumb Cake cardstock and a piece of the beautiful Year of Cheer DSP for the next layer. I have used the Everyday Label punch to cut my greeting. The greeting is from Watercolor Christmas stamp set and it has been embossed in silver. I recommend to stamp and emboss first and then punch it out. The piece of gold foil behind the label is measured 4cm x 4,3cm (or 1 5/8" x 2 11/16"). Then you just need about 27-30cm of Gold Mini Sequin Trim for under the label and three Adhesive Rhinestone Jewels scattered around.

Stampin' Up! Merry Music Specialty DSP for Art with Heart Team HOC26

Hello and thanks for stopping by today. Today is the second last week of my Art with Heart team girls Heart of Christmas series for 2017. This is week 26.

Graphic

It's getting to the point where many people are in need of super quick and easy Christmas cards which can easily be done in a batch, and this week's card definitely fits this criteria.

2017 Christmas card using peace This Christmas stamp set, Merry Music DSP, Merry Little Christmas DSP. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

You need three pieces of coordinating DSP. I have used Merry Music Specialty DSP and Merry Little Christmas DSP but you could use any coordinating papers. The base card is 1/2 A$ cardstock cut vertically to make a standard C6 top folding card. The measurements for each piece of DSP are:

  • Left: 1 13/16" wide by 5 5/8" long or 4.6cm x 14.2cm
  • Top right: 2" wide x 3.5" long or 5.1cm x 8,8cm
  • Bottom right: 2" wide x 2" long; or 5.1cm x 5.1cm

2017 Christmas card using peace This Christmas stamp set, Merry Music DSP, Merry Little Christmas DSP. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

The centre circle is 2.5" diameter and the stamped greeting is rom one of the Christmas sets in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, Peace This Christmas. I have used a variety of embellishments around the greetings including Metallic Enamel Shapes, Glitter Enamel Shapes and Adhesive Rhinestone Jewels. For the Silver Mini Sequin Trim, you need about 30-35cm under each circle.

Candy Cane Lane DSP Gingerbread House Christmas Cards

Love love love these cute gingerbread houses featured in the Candy Cane Lane DSP from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. They make a great feature of a card by themselves when you cut them out with a pair of paper snips.

Candy Cane Lane DSP 2016 Christmas card from the Holiday Cataloue. Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com.

All I've needed to add is a bit of background stamping, a strip of coordinating DSP and a bit of copper with an embossed greeting (love this greeting from Holly Berry Happiness) and a little copper heart cut using the heart border punch.
