Art with Heart Team Stampin Up Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 6

Hello lovely friends, time for some more 2017 Christmas card inspiration from the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team.

This week I have used Merry Mistletoe from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue again, but in a completely different way. It's a very versatile set and I love the greetings in it. I have used the Stampin' Write Markers (in Fresh Fig and Old Olive) direct to rubber technique for my coloured image.

To make the background squares, I have used:

  • 4 squares of Berry Burst cardstock 1.5" x 1.5" and they have been embossed using the Garden Trellis embossing folder and then 2 of the corners punched with a corner rounder.
  • These were then attached to 4 squares on 1 5/8" which also had two corners rounded.
  • They were then arranged allowing 1/4" between each piece (I used a ruler and pencil to mark the centre spot and then arranged them around that).

The circle piece over the top is a 2.5" circle (which has one of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers attached (love these - see all products in the links below my signature). The stamped circle is 1 3/4".

Fresh fig and Berry Burst work so well together don't you think? I love this colour combination for Christmas cards.

Stampin' Up! Reverse Words for Saleabration 2017 - Four Ways!

Hello there. Today I am showcasing one of the recently released extra Stampin' Up! Saleabration items, the Reverse Words stamp set. Here's four ways to use this stamp set.

For the first two cards, I have teamed it with the Mixed Drinks stamp set (see links below) - it has some great images and sentiments which match the cheers theme! I particularly love this sentiment. My colours here are Smoky Slate and Sweet Sugarplum with Basic Black. I love how the Reverse Words stamp sets so cleverly combines the watercolour wash look with the crispness of the reverse word.

For this card, I have made a cocktail using lots of stamps from the Mixed Drinks stamp set (so easy to line up with the photopolymer). Another great greeting to match the cheers theme. My reverse word is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and I have used Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry on the cocktail.

This one is a birthday card which was super easy to make. I just punched a couple of balloons from the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper using the Balloon Punch. The greeting is from the Custom Tee stamp set. I just made the balloon strings using a Project Life marker. My ink colour here is Mint Macaron.

I've needed lots of these cards for my awesome team and their promotions this month. It was quick and easy to create. The sentiment is from the Mixed Drinks stamp set and the reverse word is in Mint Macaron again. I used the Medium Star Punch to cut a star from the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper and attached some silver sequin trim.

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop: It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas

Team Blog Hop Logo 300px wide

Today some of my fabulous Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls have created some amazing Christmas projects to inspire you with the theme, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have tags, gift bags, teacher gift ideas, decorations and many more fun projects to create this holiday season.

I chose some gift wrapping options as my projects for this blog hop. First up I have some cute gift tags I made using the 2" x 2" cards in Project Life Hello December Accessory Kit (on special, along with the matching card kit until 11.50pm AEST Monday November 28th this week for 30% off). I love the colours in these and can't wait to see how great they looked on my Christmas gifts under the tree. To make these, I just cut pieces of  cardstock 6cm x 12cm and scored in the centre. Easy peasy!

The stars and the tree embellishments are included in the accessory pack. I just coloured the tree with a Bronze Sharpie for some added interest (bit obsessed with the copper look this year).

Next up I have a small quick and easy gift idea which fits 3 Lindt chocolate balls in perfectly. These little Christmas favors would be great for the Christmas table, co-workers, social group members and more. You can buy the clear boxes in packs of 16 for just $13.25 (Item 141699 Clear Tiny Treat Boxes) so they are very economical. I just cut three pieces of DSP 9.5cm x 4.5cm and scored in half and placed in the base and up the side on 3 sides (leaving the front side open). I then just attached a belly band of coordinating DSP and made a bow using the Bow Builder Punch.

My final project is a decorated gift box (I recycled one of the boxes I received charms in at OnStage). I love Poinsettias. They remind me of my grandmother. The Festive Flower punch (10% off in this week's Online Extravaganza sale) has all the bits for this flower (and there's a video showing you how to use it on the Stampin' Up! You Tube channel). If you want to stamp the leaf and flower veins, the Reason for the Season stamp set is the coordinating set.

Now it's time to check out some more festive creations. Next on the list is Mary Kelly. Enjoy!
