5 Cards for males with the retiring True Gentleman Product Suite

Another of my much loved product suites in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue, has been the True Gentleman suite of products. I really liked the deep rich masculine colours in the Designer Series Paper (and coordinating cardstock pack), the fabulous textured  Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon, and the True Gentleman wooden buttons (the buttons are the only one of these consumable products carrying over to the new catalogue).

The coordinating bundle to this stamp set is the Truly Tailored Bundle. While the stamp set ISN'T Carrying over, the Tailored Tag Punch is, and there is a lovely new stamp set that it coordinates with which I will show you very soon. Here is the Truly Tailored Bundle which is available while stocks last until May 31st. Check out the links at the end of the post to grab these products before they retire.

Stampin' Up! Hedgehugs. Quick and simple card ideas.

How super cute is this Hedgehugs stamp set? It's new in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Occasions Catalogue, and is available in wood or clear mount in my online store from January 3rd.

Stampin Up Hedgehugs cards from Occasions 2018. Claire Daly, Stampinup Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. #stampinup #hedgehugs, #clairedaly #ossasions2018

I thought this set was perfect for some quick and easy cards, so the cute images and greetings in the set can be the focus. I chose my colour scheme based on the beautiful Dahlia that is blooming in my garden right now.

Hedgehogs 5

Click through to my blog to see three cards based on this colour combination.

I started with just a super basic card.

Stampin Up Hedgehugs cards from Occasions 2018. Claire Daly, Stampinup Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. #stampinup #hedgehugs, #clairedaly #ossasions2018

Here are the step by step instructions for this one:

  1. I stamped the hedgehogs close together, then die-cut with one of the Layering Oval Framelits.
  2. Next I stamped Flirty Flamingo flowers onto the Flirty Flamingo background.
  3. Then I stamped the greeting on a Very Vanilla scrap and cut out with the Classic Label Punch.
  4. I cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock 1.5" wide. and the width of the card. I then cut a banner shape at each end with the Triple Layer Banner Punch.
  5. The banner piece is attached with Snail, and the oval piece and greeting piece with Dimensionals.

I also decided to make two mini gift cards using the same colour combination. These are great to make, and very economical as you can get 4 from a piece of A4 cardstock. Just cut a piece of A4 cardstock in half horizontally, and then each of those pieces in half vertically. The finished size of the unfolded card is 21cm x 7.4-7.5cm (it's actually 7.425, but if you do 3 x 7,4 winde ones and 1 7.5cm wide one it makes life way easier!).

Stampin Up Hedgehugs cards from Occasions 2018. Claire Daly, Stampinup Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. #stampinup #hedgehugs, #clairedaly #ossasions2018

The Berry Burst pieces are 7cm wide x 9.8cm long. The Very Vanilla piece on the hedgehog card is 5.2cm wide x 7.4cm long. The Very Vanilla piece on the bird card is 4.8cm long x 4.0cm wide. I have also rounded 2 of the corners on these pieces.

Art with Heart Team Stampin Up Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 6

Hello lovely friends, time for some more 2017 Christmas card inspiration from the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team.

Graphic

This week I have used Merry Mistletoe from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue again, but in a completely different way. It's a very versatile set and I love the greetings in it. I have used the Stampin' Write Markers (in Fresh Fig and Old Olive) direct to rubber technique for my coloured image.

Stampin' Up! Merry Mistletoe stamp set and Garden Trellis embossing folder in a 2017 Christmas card by Claire Daly, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

To make the background squares, I have used:

  • 4 squares of Berry Burst cardstock 1.5" x 1.5" and they have been embossed using the Garden Trellis embossing folder and then 2 of the corners punched with a corner rounder.
  • These were then attached to 4 squares on 1 5/8" which also had two corners rounded.
  • They were then arranged allowing 1/4" between each piece (I used a ruler and pencil to mark the centre spot and then arranged them around that).

The circle piece over the top is a 2.5" circle (which has one of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers attached (love these - see all products in the links below my signature). The stamped circle is 1 3/4".

Fresh fig and Berry Burst work so well together don't you think? I love this colour combination for Christmas cards.

Stampin' Up! Reverse Words for Saleabration 2017 - Four Ways!

Hello there. Today I am showcasing one of the recently released extra Stampin' Up! Saleabration items, the Reverse Words stamp set. Here's four ways to use this stamp set.

For the first two cards, I have teamed it with the Mixed Drinks stamp set (see links below) - it has some great images and sentiments which match the cheers theme! I particularly love this sentiment. My colours here are Smoky Slate and Sweet Sugarplum with Basic Black. I love how the Reverse Words stamp sets so cleverly combines the watercolour wash look with the crispness of the reverse word.

For this card, I have made a cocktail using lots of stamps from the Mixed Drinks stamp set (so easy to line up with the photopolymer). Another great greeting to match the cheers theme. My reverse word is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and I have used Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry on the cocktail.

This one is a birthday card which was super easy to make. I just punched a couple of balloons from the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper using the Balloon Punch. The greeting is from the Custom Tee stamp set. I just made the balloon strings using a Project Life marker. My ink colour here is Mint Macaron.

I've needed lots of these cards for my awesome team and their promotions this month. It was quick and easy to create. The sentiment is from the Mixed Drinks stamp set and the reverse word is in Mint Macaron again. I used the Medium Star Punch to cut a star from the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper and attached some silver sequin trim.

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop: It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas

Team Blog Hop Logo 300px wide

Today some of my fabulous Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls have created some amazing Christmas projects to inspire you with the theme, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have tags, gift bags, teacher gift ideas, decorations and many more fun projects to create this holiday season.

I chose some gift wrapping options as my projects for this blog hop. First up I have some cute gift tags I made using the 2" x 2" cards in Project Life Hello December Accessory Kit (on special, along with the matching card kit until 11.50pm AEST Monday November 28th this week for 30% off). I love the colours in these and can't wait to see how great they looked on my Christmas gifts under the tree. To make these, I just cut pieces of  cardstock 6cm x 12cm and scored in the centre. Easy peasy!

The stars and the tree embellishments are included in the accessory pack. I just coloured the tree with a Bronze Sharpie for some added interest (bit obsessed with the copper look this year).

Next up I have a small quick and easy gift idea which fits 3 Lindt chocolate balls in perfectly. These little Christmas favors would be great for the Christmas table, co-workers, social group members and more. You can buy the clear boxes in packs of 16 for just $13.25 (Item 141699 Clear Tiny Treat Boxes) so they are very economical. I just cut three pieces of DSP 9.5cm x 4.5cm and scored in half and placed in the base and up the side on 3 sides (leaving the front side open). I then just attached a belly band of coordinating DSP and made a bow using the Bow Builder Punch.

My final project is a decorated gift box (I recycled one of the boxes I received charms in at OnStage). I love Poinsettias. They remind me of my grandmother. The Festive Flower punch (10% off in this week's Online Extravaganza sale) has all the bits for this flower (and there's a video showing you how to use it on the Stampin' Up! You Tube channel). If you want to stamp the leaf and flower veins, the Reason for the Season stamp set is the coordinating set.

Now it's time to check out some more festive creations. Next on the list is Mary Kelly. Enjoy!
