Stampin' Up! Project Life Hello December 2016 Christmas Cards

Love love love the colours in this years Stampin' Up! Project Life Hello December Card Kit and matching Accessory Kit (both on special for 30% off this week). As well as being perfect for December Daily albums, they are also great for general Christmas scrapbooking. They also make fabulous elements for Christmas Cards. Here's a bunch of  cards I whipped up last night.

Stampin' Up! Project Life Hello December 2016 Christmas Cards by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

Let's look at each card individually. This first card was super simple! The base is out 12x12" kraft cardstock, and I have stamped a few stars on it with Crumb Cake ink. I then just added strips of Candy Cane Lane washi tape, cut out the circle from one of the 3x4" cards and popped it on the card with Dimensionals. The little tree is from the accessory pack and has been coloured with a Bronze Sharpie.

Stampin' Up! Project Life Hello December 2016 Christmas Cards by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

For this second card (I think this one is my favourite), I just used 5 of the 2" x 2" cards in the accessory pack. The centre card is matted and then raised up with Dimensionals. I have used the largest square in the Stitched Shapes Framelits underneath the centre square. The greeting is from Christmas Magic in the Holiday Catalogue.

Stampin' Up! Project Life Hello December 2016 Christmas Cards by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

For this one, I used Merriest Wishes background stamp in Cherry Cobbler onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the base. I then added one of the 3x4" cards attached with Washi tape. The stars on top of the tree are enamel shape stars coloured with a Bronze Sharpie. and the greeting is from Stitched with Cheer in the Holiday Catalogue. I have attached some Copper metallic thread under the greeting for some added texture.

For this one, I have used a 6x4" card as the second layer and then one of the printed transparencies from the card kit as a second layer. Then I have just popped on a couple of sticker banners from the accessory kit and a punched silver glimmer star. The smaller silver stars are from the accessory pack as well.

I just love the quote on this final card, it's so what Christmas is about to me. The second layer on this one is a 6x4" card, and the 3x4" card with the quote on is just attached with Candy Cane lane Washi tape. The circle greeting is from the accessory pack sticker sheet and it is on a very thin mat of Emerald Envy cardstock. I have also attached some Emerald Envy stars from the 2016-18 In Colour enamel shape pack.

Barcelona Project Life Album using Stampin' Up! Hello Lovely Card Collection & Accessory Pack

Hello friends. Today I have some Memory Keeping for you :)

Earlier this year my family and I were lucky enough to spend a week in Barcelona ahead of the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Incentive Trip. I have to say Barcelona was never on my bucket list, but wow, what an amazing City! So vibrant and cultural and colourful. I loved it!

I started Stampin' Up! as a Scrapbooker, and memory keeping has been a huge part of my Stampin' Up! journey. I love using stamps in my memory keeping, and the colour coordination Stampin' Up! offers is fabulous for scrapbookers. I also love the pocket scrapbooking trend, so was excited when Stampin' Up! partnered with Becky Higgins to release an official suite of Project Life products.

I have used the Hello Lovely Project Life by Stampin' Up! card collection and accessory pack on this album, along with lots of memorabilia from my trip and a few word / quote stickers (you will notice I use these LOTS in memory keeping and I have a big stash!).

Here's a look at some pages of my album. For the cover page I just did a 12x12" layout and then clipped some travel documents on the back. The quote top left was from one of the pillow gifts we got on the Stampin' Up! trip. I really loved this quote. The cover page is going to cover both the Barcelona portion as well as the cruise portion of my trip, hence why we have the itinerary on the reverse.

Here's some of the pages (I completed 35 pages including the 2 cover pages). I loved all the beautiful plants and flowers in Barcelona. The balconies were beautiful and La Ramblas had so many flower, plant and seed stalls.

I ended up with lots of food pictures as food is a huge part of the journey in Spain!

Project Life by Stampin' Up! 3 Month Themed Album Class - How To Make a Travel, Baby, Primary School or Everyday Life Photo and Memories Album from Start to Finish

** This is updated from my original post about this class**

So, in offering the 3 Month Online Travel Album Class using Project Life by Stampin' Up!, I had also some interest from people wanting to complete an album using a different theme. Given the class is about the process of turning digital photos into a completed album of memories, I decided that I could incorporate other themes (and it's an excellent reason for me to buy some more kits right?).

So I now have four themes available for the album. Here are the updated details:

Project Life 3 Month Online Class – Build an Album from Start to Finish.

Four themes available – Travel Album, Baby Album, Primary School Album and an Every Day Life / Family / Friends Album.

This class is completely online, self-paced and suits absolute anyone who wants to save some precious memories. Here's a heart and soul look at what Project Life is.

Have you ever wanted to give Project Life or scrapbooking a go but never really known where to start? Would you like to build an album on any of these four themes but want a simple system that gives a coordinated finished album? Project Life by Stampin' Up! is your answer.

Let me guide you step by step in a private class Facebook group, how to do each and every step including:

  • organising all those digital photos
  • selecting which photos to use
  • getting them printed including tricky print sizes,
  • organising and pre-planning your album,
  • deciding how to fill the pockets and what with (including tips for storing tricky stuff),
  • using memorabilia and how to store it,
  • personalising your album,
  • what to journal about ,
  • ideas for titles
  • ideas for your opening and closing album page and much more!

This class is very much about the process, and the same process applies to all the album themes and can be completed using any of the Project Life by Stampin’’ Up! kits. The notes will show how this can apply to each theme. I will be posting lots of images of pages. Mine will mostly be travel pages, but I will also be posting pages on the other topics too, so there will be inspiration for all themes.

Memory keeping is my passion and I’ve been doing this for over 14 years, including being on scrapbooking design teams and published in magazines.

The class cost is basically the cost of the materials to use over 3 months, plus a little extra to cover costs. The value of the materials and postage is $77.70 (full class fee for 3 months is a once off $80) which includes:

  • a full Project Life by Stampin’ Up! card kit (I’ll help you choose the best for your album),
  • a matching accessory pack including a mini stamp set with washi tape and extra specialty cards and embellishments
  • A pack of 12x12 Project Life Photo Pocket Pages (12 in a pack)
  • Free postage to you
  • Notes, tips, videos and images of my pages posted weekly in the group Private Facebook group

You will need to supply some items. You may already have these at home or they can be added to your class fee as an optional item at no additional postal cost (you can let me know if you want any extras when I contact you for payment)

  • Acrylic block ink for your stamps (or you can view which ink colours match your chosen card and accessory kit in the Annual Catalogue under each kit description)
  • Journaling pens (or add these on for $8.95) or you could use Stampin' Write markers
  • Your own D ring 12 x 12 album (we have 2 you can choose from $42.00 to $52.95) or you may like to use your own.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Ready to register? Registration is now open for this course which will begin on July 1st.

Three Stampin Up 2015 Christmas cards for you.

Hello there friends. Time to catch up on posting some Christmas cards I've completed over the past few weeks. Hope you find some inspiration here. Lots of these products are retiring from the current Holiday Catalogue, so if there is something you love, the product links are below my signature.

Love these colours of Mint Macaron, Rose Red, Silver and White together, I have used the Among the Branches Stamp Set, leftovers from the Oh What Fun Tag Kit, Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Silver Cording, 1/8" striped ribbon and Silver Glimmer Paper. You NEED a Triple Banner Punch to make punching those flag ends a breeze. These days that's my most used Stampin' Up! tool besides my Stampin' Trimmer.

Next up we have a card I made using one of the cards from the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Card Collection. Project Life cards make awesome element for cards too. I have also used some Cherry Cobbler Thick Bakers Twine, some Gold Cording Trim, a Snowflake Element and a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and Home for Christmas Enamel Dots. My base card is Cherry Cobbler.

This one is a super simple one that could quickly and easily be reproduced into a batch of cards. The stamp set used here is Cosy Christmas, and the DSP is from Season of Cheer. I stamped the Santa and sleigh image in Soft Sky onto Soft Sky cardstock, and my greeting was coloured direct to rubber using my Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow and Real Red markers. I've also used the 2.5" Circle Punch and Tree Punch.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards. I have another 4 coming tomorrow morning in another post, so stay tuned. Until then, stay happy.

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop: Memory Keeping

Awht blog hop start
Welcome to my Art With Heart Team Blog Hop for November. This month some of the girls are focusing on Memory Keeping (Scrapbooking/Project Life). We all take photos right? Well, capturing every day moments is so special and we need to document these to cherish. We are all passionate about memory keeping and we want to continue to inspire each other, and you, as we move forward in 2016!

First up I have a traditional scrapbook page of a favourite photo from last Christmas. I have used the Words of Truth stamp set on this page, along with the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper

Stampin Up Scrapbook Page 2015 Claire Daly Australia. Using Words of Truth stamp set and Everyday Chic DSP.

I have white embossed the title (be sure to use the embossing buddy when embossing white on black). Then I stamped the other phrases from the set and used them as journalling. For some additional journalling I downloaded a free typewriter font, and used that on a spare journalling card. I've also added an antique brad and a spare wooden heart I had leftover from a card kit.

You will LOVE the Words of Truth stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Just use the title or item number 139397 in the search box in  my online store (red button top right column).

I also have another page to show you form the Project Life New York album I am working on. The Project Life by Stampin' Up! Let's Get Away Card Collection is awesome for travel pages!

I love how easy it is to tell your story as you go with Project Life. Just pop in the journalling cards and write away. I also use punches to cut out bits of other cards to add additional bits and pieces to the cards sometimes (such as the punched out world shape centre top.

Here is a closer look at the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Card Collection, Accessory Pack and coordinating stamp set. All of these can be purchased in my online store (red button top right) under the Project Life section.

Project Life Stampin' Up!: New Moments Like This Kit Blog Hop

Hello there. Something a little bit different for you today, Project Life memory keeping with the Memory Keeping with Project Life Stampin' Up! (MKPLSU) Design Team girls around the world.

Moments Like This is one of the great new card kits (with matching accessories and stamp set) in the 2015/16 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. The colours are a very on trend Gold Foil, white, black, Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.

My sister was kind enough to wear a watermelon coloured jacket to our recent family reunion on my Perth holiday, which made these photos perfect to scrap with this kit. Thanks, sis!

I had fun choosing the cards and using the accessory pack to customise some of the cards using the trendy stickers and sequins. My title, and a couple of the phrases (I had to include "family is everything" as I say that all the time to my boys) and strip journaling were done using my computer. Really happy how these pages turned out.

For the title, I also added some stamping, by using the matching stamp set to stamp the day of the week in Mint Macaron. I also added some cardstock to this card. One of the great benefits of using Stampin' Up! cards is the catalogue tells you which of our cardstock colours perfectly match the card sets.

Stampin' Up! Let's Get Away Project Life for SB102

Hello. Today's post comes to you from the (not so sunny) Gold Coast where the Australian Stampin' Up! Convention is starting today. Lots of unveiling of new products, lots of fun! I'll be bringing you some updates here, but make sure you like my Facebook Stampin' Up! Page  for up to the minute news.

Today is also Stamping and Blogging Design Team Day! I've gone for something a little different today, using one of the Project Life cards for a card front (it comes from the set appropriately named 'Let's Get Away'. I loved that bicycle card as soon as I saw it, and the pre-printed label was perfect to stamp a greeting into. I added

SB102 card

I just added a little extra stamping in Crushed Curry top right to add some more ink splotches to balance the design (Gorgeous Grunge stamp set is perfect for this) and some embellishments and some bling on the wheels.

SB 102 Close Up

I also added a small strip of Melon Mambo cardstock at the top and bottom before adhering to the base card (the Project Life card was a 6x4 card trimmed to size). Easy, quick and fun and there are lots more options in any of the Stampin' Up! project Life card sets.

Here's the sketch we had to work with this week.

Here's something a  little different for you. I loved this Bokeh card that came in the accessory pack for Hello December Project Life. so i decided to make it into a Christmas card.

Stampin' Up! Bokeh Christmas card using Hello December Project Life products by Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia

I added a gold foil mat beneath the bokeh card and adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler card. The little word stickers bottom right are from the Hello December accessory pack too. The gold star and wood veneer snowflake are left overs from my Many merry Stars kit. A few adhesive rhinestones finished off this super quick and easy Christmas card.

Have a fabulous week. I have lots of projects to show you this week, so see you back here soon,

Claire

Stampin' Up! Project Life Gratitude Page with some PL Stampin' friends

I have something a little different for you today: a Project Life style scrapbook page celebrating Gratitude. This is our monthly challenge over on the Memory Keeping with Project Life Stampin' Up! Facebook Group (MKPLSU), and I have some lovely Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends from around the world participating, and you can visit them too.

Stampin Up Project Life Page by Claire Daly Stampin Up Melbourne Australia

Scrapbooking is very much about journalling to me, and with a subject as close to my heart as being thankful, there was no stopping me! I decided to make the three 4x6 pockets journalling blocks and just journaled until they were full. That gave me room for 55 things. I stamped some of my individual thank you stamps in Smoky Slate over the top of the journalling, and mounted the journalling on cardstock to match the Everyday Adventure Card Collection. I also popped some In Color sequins into the journalling pockets and sealed the tops of those pockets using clear labels from the office store, so the sequins dont fall out. Sequins are great to add some interest to journalling pockets because you can move them around and still read the journalling! The rest of the pockets were filled with stamping, and quotes I love about being thankful and happy.

Stampin Up Project Life Page by Claire Daly Stampin Up Melbourne Australia

For these two pocket cars I started with blank grid cards. The stamps are all from Stampin' Up!'s Gratitude for Days stamp set (see links below) which is a photopolymer set and easy to place exactly where you want. On the top left of the photo card that is a combination of 2 stamps in the set, but I love how they work together. On the right hand side I have stamped 'gratitude' onto washi tape to highlight the word (used Stazon). The rest of the title was made with my dymo, which I haven't used for ages, but is good to mix things up a bit!

Stampin Up Project Life Page by Claire Daly Stampin Up Melbourne Australia

The two base cards here are from Stampin' Up!'s Everyday Adventure Card Collection. I've just added some patterned paper to the card on the left and some washi tape, rhinestones and a favourite Winnie the Pooh quote on the right hand card. On several of the cards I have hand-drawn a border using my project life journalling pens.

These are two more base cards from the Everyday Adventure set, with a couple of my favourite printable quotes from Pintrest. You can check out all the supplies I have used in this months page, using the links below my signature. If there is anything you like, you can either buy directly in the online store or I am happy to take orders by email and phone too.

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December

There's a big trend in the memory keeping world to do an album in December , with daily records of what your family gets up to in the lead up to Christmas. I believe this trend started with the very talented Ali Edwards. Love the way she encourages us to record our lives.

With the collaboration of Becky Higgins Project Life and Stampin' Up!, we are able to join in on the fun with our very own product range to document YOUR December. We have just released the fabulous Hello December Project Life card kit, accessory kit and matching album. Today some of the girls from the Memory Keeping with Stampin' Up! Project Life FB group have put together some posts to show you how we are starting our albums for December. The idea is that you do as much as the album as possible beforehand, and then just fill in the journalling and add the pictures in December. here is my cover page.

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

For my cover page I used some of the cards from the card kit, as well as a couple I made my own using the December Wonder Stamp Set and the embellishment pack. You can view all these products in the links at the bottom of the page.

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

Here's the first couple of daily pages. I am starting each day with a right hand page, and will decide if I just want back and front, or to add extra pages as I go along. I love the cards that are included in the card kit for numbering the days. There are 31 of these, and stacks of printed cork numbers in the accessories kit, enough to make all the numbers 1-31.  You can also circle the day of the week.

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December

See those cute little phrase stickers? There are tow sheets of those (half in Cherry Cobbler and White, half in black and white) in the accessory kit. Together with the wood veneer accents, I think these are my favourite bits in the accessory pack (although I am loving those cork numbers too!).

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December

I've done a few other things to get prepared for my album too. I'm a big fan of strip journalling, so I have done up a whole sheet of phrases and titles I expect to use on my album. I've also made some additional flair buttons, using the digital versions of the December Wonder stamp set and Hello December card kit. These are one inch shapes made in MDS and covered with clear epoxy circles. I made them in the colours which coordinate with the kit too, so everything is matchy matchy!

Stampin' Up! Hello December Project Life for doing a daily album in December by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

I also made us some additional 3x4 cards using some of the embellishments in the Hello December accessory pack.

I hope that's given you lots of inspiration to get started on your December albums! You can view the full product range in my Stampin' Up! Online Store, and I have also shown the products in more detail in this recent post.

Now it's time to check out what some of my other Stampin' Up! demo friends who love Project Life have been creating with the December Daily kit:

Memory Keeping with Stampin' Up! Project Life: All About Me

Hello lovely friends. Today I have something a little different for you. I've teamed up with some of my equally addicted Project Life loving demos around the world, to bring you a new monthly segment on my blog. Each month our team will be bringing you our take on a Project Life theme. This month's team is a page all about ourselves, so you can get to know us a little better.

Project Life All About me page using Stampin Up Everyday Adventure by Claire daly Stampin Up Melbourne Australia

This page was so much fun to put together! I love this form of scrapbooking and how it allows you to bring a group of thoughts or stories together cohesively. Of course the Stampin' Up! colour coordination helps with that as well. For this project I have used the Everyday Adventure kit and accessory pack (see links below) and then I die cut my 'She' title using my Silhouette.

Love how the page turned out, and love that a little bit of what makes up me right now, is recorded. Now it's time to visit the other Project Life addicted Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and see what they have created around this theme. We'll be adding more team members in the months ahead.

Wedding Card using Stampin' Up! Love Story Project Life for Stamping and Blogging

Today's share shows a different way to use some of the Project Life cards from Stampin' Up!. I have created a wedding card using the beautiful Love Story card collection and based on this weeks sketch from Stamping and Blogging.

Stampin Up Love Story Project Life Wedding Card by Claire Daly Stampin Up Australia

I have to be honest and say I found this week's sketch a little tricky. I just felt I needed another shape to break up the rectangles, so I cut a heart from the cardstock vellum and added that. I find this a subtle way to add a layer. I was much happier when the vellum heart was in place.I have listed al the products I have used in this week's card in the links below.

Here is the sketch that Sandi gave us to work with this week.

I'm really looking forward to see what the fabulous Stamping and Blogging girls around the world have done with this sketch. A couple of the girls are having a little break this week, but still plenty of inspiration! Hop on over to their blogs and have a look. Such fabulous talented ladies and viewing their creations each week is so inspiring to me.

Make your own Project Life flair buttons using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software (free 30 day trial)

Anyone who loves Project Life will know what a cool addition adhesive flair type buttons are to your pages and journallng cards. Imagine if you could easily make your own in colours that coordinated with the Project Life by Stampin' Up! card kits. You can and this video and step by step tutorial I put together will show you how. First here's some of the buttons I made this afternoon.

Make your own Project Life flair buttons using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software (free 30 day trial) by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

To get started, watch this video showing you how I created the button bases in The My Digital Studio Software. If you don't have the software, I'll show you a link to download a free trial at the end of the post.

Once you have printed your PDF file out onto Whisper White cardstock, use the stampin' up! 1.25" circle punch to cut out your circles perfectly. You will then have the bases for your flair buttons.

Make your own Project Life flair buttons using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software (free 30 day trial) by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

The clear epoxy domes that go on top are very easily purchased. Just google 'clear epoxy circles' and you will see a variety of places selling them. I purchased 100 very cheaply. They adhere directly over the top of the circles you punched out.

Make your own Project Life flair buttons using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software (free 30 day trial) by Claire Daly Melbourne Australia at www.clairedaly.typepad.com

Next you want to make the whole button adhesive. there are several ways you can do this - just use an adhesive each time, use a sticker maker, or my preferred way is to use the Stampin' Up! adhesive transfer sheets. You just peel back the top, attach the button cardstock side down, put the top layer over and rub. You could put all your buttons on there until you were ready to use them and they would just peel off.

Then they are ready to use on your Project Life projects. I have used my Subway one on this journalling card which is going in my NYC album.
