This is just a catch up post, as when I was sorting through my My Digital Studio (MDS) folder today, I found a few layouts I realized I haven't blogged. I like to mix it up with my scrapbooking. Some paper layouts, some hybrid and some digital. I used to use Photoshop, but since Stampin' Up! released My Digital Studio in Australia in March, and I realised how intutive and powerful the program was, I have been using that.
Each year I do some digital layouts of Convention. You can view past Conventions here. I like to focus on the people I spend time with, the team shots and the little things which make Convention special to me.
Here's my first page for 2013 Convention. I love these grainy, less than perfect selfies I took which some favourite people I caught up with on the steps before a general session, along with a picture of my dear friend Sharon who was attending her first Convention.
To create this page, and for the other Convention pages I will do, I have used the digital This and That kit. I love the colours and distressed look of these papers and embellishments. You can check it out here in my online store.
I hope to get some more pages from Convention done soon.
Hi everyone. Having more fun playing with My Digital Studio, learning as I go.I have had questions from my customers about how to do some things in MDS, so I have started some simple 'how to' videos as I learn and discover things myself. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone else too. I don't think I will ever go 100% digital but I love how quick and easy (and mess free!) these layouts can be!
The first thing I wanted to learn was to how to layer and manipulate patterned paper layers, as I use this style a lot in my layouts. Here is the layout I created.
I have used the gorgeous Springtime Vintage digital paper pack, which you can buy in the Stampin' Up! Online Store for just $5.50. Isn't it lovely? Perfect for so many styles of layouts. I also used one of the many free DSP packs that comes with the package.
If you would like to learn a little about resizing, altering and layering patterned papers without them pixelating, this short video might help you.
If you would like to have a play around with MDS, you can download a free 30 day trial in the unload store here. It comes with free elements to play with, and if you buy the program for $24.95 (which you can do anytime, before or after downloading the free trial) you have heaps more elements included as well. It's awesome value!
Hope you have lots of fun! See you back here soon with more paper and digital creations,
I've been having fun getting to know the new My Digital Studio scrapbooking program that was released in Australia this week. Here are my first two pages I have been able to come up with.
The program is available as a 30 Day free trial download and then will cost just $24.95. Both the trial and buy it versions contain lots of great elements and templates to help you get started. There ar lots more yummy things in my online store though, starting at a low $1.50.
If you have any questions about using MDS, just let me know and I would be happy to help. Just email me. Iam also offering one on one in person instruction from mid April at my house in Melbourne with a minimum purchase.
