Art with Heart Team Stampin Up Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 5

Graphic

Yeah! It's Wednesday. I am loving doing these Wednesday Christmas inspiration posts with my lovely Art With Heart team girls. It's not even July yet and I already have a nice collection of Christmas cards coming along.

Today I am using a new Christmas set called Merry Mistletoe from the 2017/18 Annual Catalogue.

Stampin Up Merry Mistletoe 2017 Christmas card with Coffee Break DSP by Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

The Designer Series Paper I have used is called Coffee Break, which is part of a great coffee themed suite of products new this year. I love the warm colours. I have also used a piece of the Wood Texture paper stack, and for texture I have added some new Copper Trim and a star from the Hearts and Stars Elements

Here's a closer look at the Merry Mistletoe stamp set I have used in this card. You can follow the links at the end of my post to find out more about each individual product I have used today.

I like the warm earthy colours in this Designer Series paper, and Crumb Cake is a great base for these colours.

Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team Monthly Blog Hop: My favourite new product bundle.

Today the Art with Heart Team girls are showing you their favourite bundles from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Bundles make creating a breeze, because of the perfect coordination. It's a bonus that you get 10% off by bundling the products together too. There are 23 bundles in the new catalogue so ask us about them, or for a catalogue today!

You have to come to me from the lovely Alisha Watson's Blog.

I am showcasing the fabulous Oh So Eclectic bundle which is on page 133 of the Annual Catalogue. I chose this one because of the versatility of the Thinlitsand the way the stamps create the illusion of texture. This is the bundle used to create the images on the front of the Annual Catalogue too. This bundle is part of a suite which also includes the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and some great embellishments.

Here's a look at the bundle:

Oh So Eclectic Bundle

In my first card, I have layered the hexagonal die cut piece over some of the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Next I layered stamped and die cut pieces in Emerald Envy, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime twist to pick up the colours in the paper. My base card is Soft Sky.

I wanted this card for a special birthday I am attending on Sunday, so I stamped a greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set which you will find on page 77 of the Annual Catalogue. This greeting fits really nicely inside the new Pretty Label punch too (page 207).

For my second card I have used the hexagonal piece in another way. Once I had cut it from Powder Pink cardstock, I used my paper snips to cut around the very edge to create an embellishment layer. The paper I have used for this card is one of my favourites in the new catalogue, the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper.

Oh So Eclectic bundle hello card with Starburst Punch and Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. By Claire Daly Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

For the greeting on this card, I have embossed the greeting in white onto Basic Black cardstock and cut into thin strips. I have used the new Starburst Punch behind my stamped image. I love it when I can just grab a punch! I found the 2" circle punch a perfect fit for layering in front of the Starburst shape.

The other very cool thing about this bundle, is that the Thinlits also coordinate with another stamp set; You're Priceless on page 160 of the Annual Catalogue. I love this set!

Your Priceless
I have used some more of the paper from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper. I stamped the diamond colours first (the two darker colours are stamped off once). When you are doing this, I found it easiest to stamp the darker colours first, so it's easier to see the placement of the lighter colours. I then cut the outline of this stamped shape with the Thinlits. Next I cut the inside of the diamond from the silver glimmer paper, and then the outline shape. The magnetic plate is very handy for this step.

Stampin Up You're brilliant stamp set from 2017 Annual Catalogue. Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Card by Claire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

I finished this one off with a greeting in Night of Navy ink, some border stamping in Lemon Lime Twist, and some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon. The new ribbons in this catalogue are so awesome. Check them out on page 198 and 199. This ombre ribbon particularly caught my eye and also comes in Calypso Coral and Island Indigo.

Next up, we have my lovely team member Rachel Woollard. The blog hop will go full circle, so if you lose your place anywhere, you can use the list below to move onto the next blog.

Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team's Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 4

The Art with Heart team is back with Week 4 of Heart of Christmas 2017. I hope you are enjoying the inspiration for Stampin' Up! 2017 Christmas cards. After running out of time last year, it's great to have already started my 2017 Christmas cards.

Graphic

Today I have gone for a very traditional card and colour scheme. I have used Lovely as a Tree again. Did you know this stamp set has been in every Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for the last 16 years? Talk about a classic.

Stampin Up Lovely as a Tree and Be Merry Designer Paper. Heart of Christmas by Art with Heart Stampin Up Team Melbourne Australia.

I have used the Be Merry Designer Series Paper, which is a new paper in the 2017 Annual Catalogue. The colours are very classic: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. I have also added in some Copper foil cardstock and copper embossing, I had a left over copper pinecone embellishment from last years Holiday catalogue, which was a perfect finish for these two cards.

HOC week 3 b

Now it's tome to see what other members of the Art with Heart Team have been up to for Heart of Christmas Week 4.

Stampin' Up! Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - BigShot sandwich and tips.

Hello friends. Today I have a quick and easy card for you as I wanted to show you how amazing and  multidimensional the beautiful new Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder is. You can find this folder on page 211 of Stampin' Up!'s new 2017 Annual Catalogue, or HERE in my Online Stampin' Up! Store.

Stampin Up Layered Leaves Embossing folder and Label Me Pretty. 2017 Annual Catalogue. Claire Daly Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia.

These folders are thicker than our standard embossing folders (to accommodate the extra dimension), so here are a few tips to get a great result:

  • Just use one sheet of cardstock and spritz each side lightly with water before you put it into the folder.
  • Set up your BigShot sandwich with the BigShot base plate on the bottom, the folder next (with the spine going into the BigShot first), and then just one acrylic plate on top.
  • Roll the folder through the BigShot one way, and then while the very end of the folder is still under the pressure of the BigShot roller, roll back the other way and out.
  • If you are inpatient like me, you can dry any remaining damp spots on the cardstock with your heat gun.

Stampin' Up! have got a great video on how to use these folders:

I love the variation in depth of impression this Layered Leaves folder gives and can see I will be using it on lots of projects. Doesn't it look amazing in the new Incolour Lemon Lime Twist?

I have used a few other of my favourite new Stampin' Up! products on this card too. The new Berry Burst ink and cardstock, the beautiful new Lemon Lime Twist ombre ribbon, the new Pretty Label Punch and the coordinating Label Me Pretty stamp set. You can link to all of these products in the online store using the individual links at the end of my post.

The Pretty Label punch and matching stamp set comes in a bundle too, so that you can save 10% on the combined individual price. There are a massive 23 bundles in this years catalogue - find them all HERE in the bundles section of the online store.
