Art with Heart Stampin' Up! Team's Heart of Christmas 2017: Week 2

Graphic

It's Wednesday, so time for our Heart of Christmas Art with Heart Team showcase of Christmas creations for you. I'm finding this so fun and feel very accomplished to already have some Christmas cards ready for this year!

Today I wanted to use two of the new 2017 Stampin' Up! InColours with the Star of Light stamp set and coordinating Startlight Thinlits. I have used Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. I love how these turned out.

I made one of each base colour, and mixed up the colours of the die cuts and stamping. These were pretty quick and simple to do and I think would make a good production line card.

The Tranquil Tide colour is quite dark, but the lemon Lime Twist really lifts and brightens it I think. I also like the look of the clear faceted gems and adhesive rhinestones with these colours.

I made this one second, and added a little extra stamping onto the Shimmery White piece behind the die cuts.

Lemon Lime Twist is fast becoming one of my favourite new colours! You can check out all the products I have used in this weeks cards, by clicking on the links at the end of the post.

Claire, I just love these colours and this beautiful stamp set together. The finishing touch is the gorgeous facetted gem in the centre of your stars.

Tina Gillespie

I never would have thought to put these colours together, but you've made them work so well! Fabulous cards.

Christine Blain

I wouldn't have thought of using Lemon Lime Twist for Christmas, but it looks fabulous, Claire!

Caroline

Both of your cards are just beautiful Claire, I love them!

Sharon Davern

Oh I Love them Claire! Just Love this stamp set and the slight variation to the 2 cards. So easy to make and stamp a stack in 1 sitting. Brilliant! Didn't know if I would like Lemon Lime twist but I am starting to really like it!

Love these cards Claire, just beautiful. The colours are great for Christmas.

You have done it again Claire. Love these two cards and the new colours are just right together. I was beginning to wonder just where to use the Lemon Lime twist and Tranquil Tide and you have come up with two cards that are lovely. I will definitely have a go at making some of these for Christmas and who knows, maybe use the colours elsewhere.

Many thanks
much love Jessie x

Judy May

Gorgeous cards, Claire. Love the layout and colour combos.
