I have a renewed energy for creative challenges and have participated in 3 this weekend. I think it's because we have been chatting about them on our Art with Heart Stanmpin' Up! team foum (a couple of our girls design for challenges). I find they stretch me outside my comfort zone which is a good thing.
Take for instance this colour combination from The Pals Paper Arts Challenge 154. I don't think it's one I would have come up with by myself, but when I got the colours out and started playing with them I loved it!
- I've used the markers direct to rubber on the Just Thinking stamp. The shape of the stamp allows for a square mat to perfectly highlight the image (I cut the stamped image by hand).
- Clear emboss an image onto the Raspberry Ripple piece for extra texture and interest- I have used En Francais background stamp.
- Dry emboss the base card, and sponge over the same colour ink to highlight the mebossing.
You can buy the products I have used in this card anytime by contacting me. There are free products on offer for $100 orders if placed by 11.50pm 22nd March.
